Kerala HC stays running of toddy shops by Coop Societies
Kochi, Mar 20 (UNI) Kerala High Court today stayed the State Government's decision to allow Cooperative Societies to run toddy shops.
Justice Thottathil V Radhakrishnan partially stayed the Government Order of March one, 2007, containing the new 'Abkari Policy'.
Giving an interim ruling on a batch of writ petitions challenging the Government Order, the judge stayed the section which allowed cooperative societies to run toddy shops in the Kannur and Kozhikode districts and three ranges of Ernakulam and Kasargod districts.
