Gitanjali Group launches sports range of jewellery

Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) The Gitanjali Group, one of India's largest integrated diamond and jewellery manufacturers, became the latest to join the World Cup bandwagon launching their new sports range in jewellery 'Sporteratti' and the first ever diamond studded cricket ball at a glittering function here today.

The two diamond studded cricket balls, which have been made of 5728 diamond pieces each with a total weight of 31.5 carats, and valued at nearly Rs 30 lakh each, will be presented to the best Indian player and best international player at the World Cup, it was announced on the occasion.

The two balls were unveiled by Bollywood actress and Gitanjali brand ambassador Mahima Chaudhary and Indian women cricket team's captain Mithali Raj.

The new sports range 'Sporteratti' consists of a wide range of pendants, depicting popular sports played in the country. The jewellery is made in gold and diamond set in black and transparent polymer.

Gitanjali Group also announced their association with the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) to be held from March 27-31.

Gitanjali Jewellery Extravaganza will be the associate sponsor of the Fashion Week and will also host three high profile theme parties to celebrate its association with LFW on March 26, 27 and 29.
