Day temperatures high in Assam, Haryana, MP, Chattisgarh

Pune, Mar 20 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Haryana, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh and coastal Karnataka.

It was above normal in some parts of Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and were below normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, north Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Marathwada and were above normal in some parts of Orissa, West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal and south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rain or snow are likely to occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Uttaranchal.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

Rain or snow have occurred at most places in Jammu and Kashmir and at many places in Himachal Pradesh.

Very light rain or snow have occurred at isolated Uttaranchal.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
