Cong skirts question on dismissal of WB Govt
New Delhi, Mar 20(UNI) The Congress today gave a cautious and guarded reaction to the plea for resignation of and action against the CPI-M Government in West Bengal for the violent incident in Nandigram and said the question involved morality.
"These are matters of moral decision by the concerned actors for the time being," Congress Spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said.
"At what point of time do we(Congress)recommend(dismissal), we do not want to say," Mr Singhvi said. "Leave it to the moral susceptability of the person concerned," he said replying to a specific question on the Congress delegation's report on Nandigram.
"What report does the delegation submit to the Government, we will let you know when it is done," Mr Singhvi said talking to media persons here.
Mr Singhvi said whatever demand the Congress had to make it would do so after carefully considering the issue. However, he said it was an extremly unfortunate state of affairs and condemnable.
The way women and children were attacked was deplorable.
Replying to a question, the Congress discounted the possibility of reaching any poll alliance with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. About the possibility of the NCP reaching poll understanding with the Shiv Sena, he said those who claimed to be secular could not join hands with non-secular forces.
There was no question of Congress having a tie up or alliance directly or indirectly with BJP or Shiv Sena, he said.
