Tanker driver escapes after selling 12,000 litres of diesel
Nadiad, Mar 19 (UNI) A truck diver has gone missing after selling 12,000 litres of diesel and abandoning the vehicle in Kheda district.
In a complaint filed last night at the Kheda town police station, the owner of the tanker, Raspal Singh Sardar, a resident of Chandkheda in Ahmedabad district, stated that his driver, Chandrasekhar, had filled the tanker with 12,000 litres of diesel worth Rs 4.25 lakh at an Indian Oil company owned petrol pump at Kanira village in Kheda district, police said.
The truck was on way to Jaffrabad in Saurashtra. He then sold the fuel to some unknown persons midway and abandoned the tanker, police added.
