Skeletal remains of children found in Nashik
Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) Skeletal remains of two children, aged between four and five years, have been found in the Wadivarhe town of Igatpuri taluka in Nashik district.
D H Gosavi, Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Wadivarhe police station told UNI the skeletal remains, found yesterday, belonged to two children aged 4 and 5 years old. The bones were found scattered in a cave on a hill top in Gadgadsangvi village of Igatpuri taluka in Nashik district, nearly 200 km away from Mumbai.
The bones included three leg bones measuring seven inches, one bone of eight inches and three rib bones measuring seven, four and five inches. They were sent to the Primary Health Care (PHC) centre in Wadivarhe for examination and reports confirmed that they belonged to two children.
Police have launched an investigation into the case, he added.
