Aizawl, Mar 19 (UNI) Northeast Frontier Railway (NF) plans to establish more Passenger Reservation Services (PRS) in Mizoram, NF Railway's General Manager A.K.Sanwalka said today.

Mr Sanwalka said according to the Indian Railways' new policy, each district headquarters in the country should have a computerised seat reservation centre.

''Since Mizoram has only one PRS, matters are being pursued so that at least three centres in Lunglei, Kolasib and Serchhip should come up in next three months,'' he added.

About the proposed rail road connection up to Aizawl, Mr Sanwalka said a survey for bringing the railway line up to Sairang from Aizawl has been completed but is yet to get sanction.

He stated that all other NE state capital's railroad connection has been sanctioned, the only exception is Mizoram and NF Railway was doing everything possible to get the necessary amount sanctioned as early as possible.

Informing Railways' plan to upgrade all lines south of Lumding in Asom to broad gauge, Mr Sanwalka said the job is hoped to be completed by 2009-10.

He also informed that Indian Railways was prepared to install a toy train in Central Training Institute here.
