Maruti hikes Swift Diesel price by Rs 4,000-Rs 7,000

New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) Its not even a week that the country's largest carmaker Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) announced the price hike on all its vehicles, it again today revised the prices from Rs 4,000 - Rs 7,000, but this time only to one model -- Swift Diesel.

The prices of Swift Diesel cars (both variants) have been increased -- Swift Ldi from Rs 4,68,657 to 4,72,657 and Swift Vdi from Rs 4,97,207 to 5,04,207 (both ex-showroom-Delhi).

The revised prices effective from today are applicable across the country, the company said in a statement here.

The Swift Diesel was launched in January this year, with an introductory price of Rs 4.68 lakh.

During the launch the company had said the price was introductory and would be reviewed but the company had already hiked the prices between Rs 656 - Rs 818 on March 15.
