Centre sanctions Rs 22.52 lakh under SGSY to Wayanad

Kochi, Mar 19 (UNI) The Union Rural Development Ministry has sanctioned Rs 22.52 lakh as the second instalment under the Swarna Jayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) for the Wayanad District in Kerala.

The district in north Kerala had witnessed a spate of farmer suicides last year.

The funding pattern will be 75:25 by the Centre and the state, an official release said here today.

The state government should release its share by March 31, 2007, it added.
