UP Minister injured in accident in Sitapur

Sitapur, Mar 18 (UNI) UP's Minister of State for Handlooms Uma Kiran was injured in an accident here last evening, police sources said.

Ms Kiran, the MLA from Chartahwal in Muzaffarnagar district, was on her way to her constituency from Lucknow, when her private car collided with a truck near Chandra village under Moholi police station area of Sitapur.

Both the minister and her gunner were injured in the accident.

They have been admitted to hospital, where both of them are reported to be out of danger.

Police have arrested the truck driver.
