Snowfall to occur in Northern hilly states

Pune, Mar 18 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, at isolated places in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Haryana, north Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep.

Dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, south Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka.

They were above normal in parts of Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

The temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. They were below normal in West Bengal, Sikkim, in parts of Orissa, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, in parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. They were below normal in parts of Haryana, Tamil Nadu, in parts of Orissa, Chhattisgarh.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, while they were above normal in some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Very light rain or snow had occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at isolated places in Kerala.

Dry weather prevailed over Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
