Punjab govt to form farmers advisory committee

Fatehgarh Sahib, Mar 18 (UNI) The Punjab government will constitute a special advisory committee to redress the grievances of the farmers of the state.

The announcement was made by state Cooperation minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh while talking to mediapersons at Naulakha village near here.

Giving details he said two people from each district of the state would be taken in the advisory committee, as its members which would work for farmers.

The aim of this is to find a permanent solution to the farmers problems, he added.

He said the state government was making efforts to boost the economy of the state and to provide more employment opportunities.

The government was also actively planning to create adequate infrastructure to ensure remunerative prices of agri produce, he added.
