Mah CM greets people on Gudi Padwa

Mumbai, Mar 18 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Gudi Padwa tomorrow.

In his message, Mr Deshmukh said ''Gudi Padwa is the festival of advent of spring season. Gudi is the symbol of piousness, auspiciousness and victory. The Democratic Front Government is taking efforts for the welfare of poor, farmers and other sectors.'' ''People should join in the Government's efforts and take the pledge to carry the State speedily on the path of progress,'' he added.
