Four prisoners escape from Mehsana police custody

Ahmedabad, Mar 18 (UNI) Four undertrials today escaped from the office of Mehsana Crime Branch, when they were taken in for questioning in the computer room.

The four were part of a gang of eight caught recently for robbing temples. Several other theft charges, like stealing cattle, were also lodged against them.

The prisoners escaped through the window of the room between 0200 hrs and early today as it was left open, police said, adding that an FIR was registered in the afternoon.
