105 accidental deaths in Mizoram during 2006-07

Aizawl, March 18 (UNI) Mizoram Home Minister Tawnluia has informed the Assembly that there has been 105 accident related deaths in the state during 2006-07.

In a written answer to the question of opposition legislator Sailothanga Sailo, Mr Tawnluia said during 2006-07, altogether 78 persons died in 84 vehicular accidents while seven persons died of electrocution and two died after falling from trees.

Nine persons each died in drowning accidents and stone quarry collapses, he added.
