Three students drowned in Subarnarekha

Jamshedpur, Mar 17 (UNI) At least three teenagers died after being drowned in Subarnarekha river here today.

The mishap occured when five youth went to take bath in the river this afternoon.

While three of them were drowned, the other two managed to save their lives.

The deceased hailed from Kadma area near here and had appeared the just concluded matriculate examination.

The bodies were yet to be recovered, police said.

East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner N M Kulkarni also visited the spot and consoled the bereaved family members.
