Situation in J'khand worse than in J

Ranchi, Mar 17 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president and Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan today criticised the Madhu Koda-led UPA government in Jharkhand saying the killing of MP Sunil Mahto proved that law and order situation in the state was worse than in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a poll rally in Daltonganj for party candidate Umesh Paswan for the March 29 by-election to Palamu parliamentary seat, Mr Paswan came down heavily on the subsequent governments in Jharkhand saying people's initial euphoria following the creation of the new state soon evaporated for their failure in delivering the goods.

Mr Paswan said Jharkhand was dominated by naxalites and the panic-stricken citizens were now more hapless following Jamshedpur MP's gruesome killing on March four.

Raising the issue of corruption, the LJP leader said the Palamu by-election was necessitated after sitting RJD MP Manoj Bhuiyan was found guilty in the money for query scam in the Lok Sabha who had to relinquish memberhip in the Parliament.

Till date, Mr Paswan said, he had no corruption cases against him and came down heavily on RJD and BSP for indulging in malpractices to gain political mileage.

He also did not spare BJP saying the party had no agenda for dalits and poor.

In the last Lok Sabha polls, he said his party supported the UPA only to defeat BJP and the results in favour of the secular parties were spectacular.
