Satirist Kavita Kiran to receive Tepa Samman

Ujjain, MP, Mar 17 (UNI) Satirist Kavita Kiran will receive the Late Bhagvati Sharma Memorial Tepa Award at the 37th All-India Tepa Conference to be held in this ancient temple town to mark International Fools Day.

Conference secretary Maneesh Sharma told mediapersons here today Kavita Kiran has read her poems on the Doordarshan and Akashvani on several occasions. She had also composed lyrics for movies.

Earlier, poetess Dr Poornima Poonam, Dr Anu Sapan, Nafisa Bharti, Manju Dikshit, Anita Soni, Monica Hatheela and Namrata Namita had been conferred with the award.

He said satirist Neeraj Puri will be conferred with Late Parasrampuria Memorial Award for culture.

Hasya Vyangya Tepa Pandit Vishveshwar Sharma and Rajasthan-based satarist Brajendra Chakor will take part in the Tepa Sammelan to organised on April 1.
