Rural bank branch burgled in Nawada

Nawada, Mar 17 (UNI) Over Rs 6.34 lakhs were stolen from a Regional Rural Bank branch at Kashichak Bazar in Nawada district last night, police said today.

District Police Superintendent Shalin said the bank's manager found the chest open and the cash missing when he arrived in his office today.

Mr Shalin said a case has been registered at local police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by the manager.

The case was being investigated from every angle including the involvement of bank employees in the incident, he added.
