Portfolio of six Cabinet ministers announced

Imphal, Mar 17 (UNI) The portfolio of six Cabinet Ministers in the Okram Ibobi government in Manipur was announced here today.

The ministers were sworn in on March 9.

While Th Devendra was given charge of Food and Civil Supplies, Law, Forest and Environment, T Phungzathang Tonsing was given charge of Tribal Development, Irrigation and Flood Control.

Mr Ph Parijat was assigned Agriculture, Art and Culture and Minor Irrigation, Mr Gaikhangam was handed Health and Family Welfare, T N Haokip was given charge of Information and Tourism and Md Allaudin Khan Rural Development, Minorities and Other Backward Classes.

Except Mr Parijat the others belong to the Congress.

The Congress with 29 MLAs is supported by the CPI(4), NCP and RJD (3 each) and two Independent.
