Khammam, Andhara Pradesh, Mar 17 (UNI) Police today resorted to lathicharge on the activists of the opposition Telugu Desam party (TDP) when they staged a ''rasta roko,'' alleging that the officials were misusing power in the Legislative Council elections at Sattupalli town in this district.

The TDP leaders led by former minister and Khammam district TDP President T Nageswara Rao organised the agitation, demanding that the government take action against the officials, who colluded with the ruling Congress party leaders in the elections.

Police dispersed the mob by resorting to a mild lathicharge on the TDP acitivists. However, no person was injured in the lathicharge.
