Koda runs govt on daily wage is responsibility of Cong, RJD: Sinha
Daltonganj, Mar 17 (UNI) BJP national vice-president Yashwant Sinha today exuded confidence in the NDA's prospect in the March 29 by-election to the Palamu Parliamentary seat.
''The result will expose the people's disenchantment with the Madhu Koda-led UPA, government in Jharkhand,'' the former Union Finance Minister told reporters at the party's office here.
He said BJP candidate Jawahar Paswan was fully backed by allies like the JD(U). Support from leaders like former Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari would also ensure victory for the NDA, he said.
Referring to the UPA government in the state, Mr Sinha said the Koda government was being run on a 'daily wage' basis and the Congress and RJD could not deny responsibility for providing such a 'weak' dispensation to the people.
He said the JMM, Congress and RJD installed the present government which, even after nearly six months, had not been able to deliver the goods.
''The UPA central leadership made mockery of the people's wish by forcefully imposing the Koda government on them,'' the BJP leader said.
He did not even spare the UPA government at the Centre saying 'Mahangai and Manmohan' (price hike and Manmohan Singh) had a strong bond which could be seen in the inflation witnessed during this government in New Delhi.
On naxalite activities in Jharkhand, Mr Sinha said dialogue with the banned underground groups was always welcome but for that they would have to abjure violence.
