ITBP to recruit permanent residents of J

Srinagar, Mar 17 (UNI) The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has decided to recruit permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir into the force.

According to Deputy Director Employment, in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, applications have been invited for the post of constable in ITBP from permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

The applicant should be matriculate and in the age group of 18 to 23 years as on 23-03-2007.

However, the age limit is relaxable for SC/ST and OBC candidates by 5 and 3 years respectively.

The last date for submission of application is April 7.

The ITBP is mainly deployed in South Kashmir, guarding a portion of Srinagar-Jammu national highway.

This is for the first time ITBP is recruiting residents of the state after CRPF,BSF, Army and Indian Airforce.
