Govt. to stop unfair means in educational institutions
Itanagar, Mar 17 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh government will take stringent action against all the private institutions resorting to alleged unfair means during board examinations, Education Minister Chowna Mein said.
Responding to a calling attention motion raised in the Assembly yesterday by BJP MLA Kipa Babu regarding unfair means adopted by the students in various private institutions in the current CBSE examination, the Minister made it clear that the government would go to the extent of canceling licenses of those schools if concrete evidences were found against them.
Earlier, Mr Babu alleged that the school authorities in order to gain good result indulged in such unfair activities, thereby depriving many meritorious students for pursuing higher education.
Assuring to conduct an investigation into the matter, the education minister called upon the legislators to go for a concerted effort to reduce such problems and asked them to deal such issues with firm hands.
''The state government would go for strong regulations for establishment of private institutions in the state and the committee constituted for this purpose would be directed to scrutinize every pros and cons before approving such schools'', he added.
