Creation of ADC under Centre's examination: Apang

Itanagar, Mar 17 (UNI) Creation of Autonomous District Council(ADC) is a matter to be decided by the Centre and proposals in this regard being forwarded by the state government is under the examination of the Union Home Ministry, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang informed the assembly today.

The state government had already forwarded both the proposals for creation of ADC for Tirap and Changlang and Tawang and West Kameng districts, Mr Apang said in reply to a written question by Independent MLA Wanglin Lowangdong. It might be mentioned here that the state government had already adopted a resolution in February 2004 for creation of ADC for these four districts.
