Burglary in Gramya Bank, Gold worth Rs 25 lakh stolen

Jeypore, Mar 17 (UNI) Miscreants have looted gold articles worth nearly Rs 25 lakh from the iron chest of the Utkal Gramya Bank at Ambaguda, about 25 kms here last night.

Police today said the miscreants taking advantage of the isolated location of the bank, entered into the bank and decamped with the gold.

The bank employees found the chest open and the gold missing, when they entered the bank this morning.

Police have immediately arrived at the bank and sealed all the exit points of the district to nab the miscreants.
