Arrow removed from tribal's stomach after 25 years

Khargone, MP, Mar 17 (UNI) A 55-year-old tribal got relief from excruciating pain when the sharp edge of an arrow that got into his stomach 25 years ago was removed by doctors at the district hospital.

Bilwa village-resident Ver Singh was hit by an arrow in his stomach by his uncle about 25 years ago. Though Ver Singh pulled out the weapon its edge remained in the stomach.

Ver Singh could not receive treatment because of financial constraints. During this period, whenever stomach pain occurred, he tolerated it believing it to be normal pain.

He was taken to the district hospital four days back when he complained severe pain. The arrow's edge was removed by doctors yesterday.

Dr D S Solanki said the sharp edge of the arrow was stuck in the liver.

The condition of Ver Singh was stated to be normal.
