AP Govt committed to sugarcane grower welfare: Minister

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Sugar Minister J Geeta Reddy today said the government was committed to the welfare of sugarcane growers in the state.

Informing the government had issued orders to all sugar factories for crushing of leftover cane, Ms Geeta urged the growers to observe patience in disposal of the produce.

Conveying her Ugadi (Telugu New Year) wishes to growers, she said sugar factories were directed to crush the agreed quantum of cane at the earliest and advised them to take up the crushing of excess cane also, a press release said here.
