2 killed, 2 hurt in freak mishap in Yavatmal

Nagpur, Mar 17 (UNI) Two persons were killed and two others injured seriously in a freak mishap in Yavatmal district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today.

According to the police, the mishap occurred near Darwha in Yavatmal district this afternoon, when a car (MH-29/N-9863) veered out of control while trying to avoid hitting a wild boar that came suddenly in the way, hit some bystanders and an oncoming motorcycle (MH-29/K-4687) before slamming into a roadside tree.

Two of the bystanders, the motorcycle rider and the driver of the car sustained serious injuries in the mishap, the police said.

They were all were rushed to a hospital in Yavatmal, where the motorcycle rider, identified as Gulab Mohade (35), and the driver of the car, identified as Yusuf Khan (32), both residents of Darwha, succumbed to their wounds. The other two are undergoing treatment.
