Water level in major Kerala reservoirs declines

Kochi, Mar 16 (UNI) Water levels in major reservoirs in Kerala have decreased, according to the Central Water Commission (CWC).

As per figures released by the CWC for the week ending March 12, the water level at Idukki decreased from 2357.20 ft to 2354.50 ft, at Idamalayar from 495.14 ft to 489.83 ft, and at Kallada from 346.59 ft to 341.21 ft.

When compared with the water levels recorded during the same period last year, Kallada, Idukki and Idamalayar reservoirs showed a decrease of 21.52 ft, 5.03 ft and 4.46 ft respectively.
