Two killed in police firing in Bihar
Patna, Mar 16 (UNI) At least two persons were killed and several injured today when police opened fire to disperse an unruly mob indulging in arson and damaging public property at Matihani block in Begusarai district.
Police said some anti-socials tried to disturb the scheduled programme of distributing ration coupon to those living below poverty line, and in the process the hooligans ransacked the block office before setting fire to the building.
Since repeated warning to refrain from violence failed to yield any result, police ultimately resorted to firing to disperse the violent mob, police added.
