Train services of Eastern Railway disrupted due to Bangla bandh

Kolkata, Mar 16 (UNI) Train services on Sealdah, Howrah and partially in Asansol and Malda divisions of Eastern Railway were affected due to obstructions at different stations by bandh supporters since early morning today.

The main line were obstructed at Agarpara, Midnapur, Kankinara, Lalgola, Kalinarayanpur, Dhubulia and Kalyani Simanta, on Ranaghat-Gede section at Gede, Majhdia, Taraknagar, on Hasnabad section at Hasnabad and Karea Kadambagachhi, on Bongaon section at Gobardanga Habra and Machiandapur and on Sealdah South at Lakshikangapur, Mallikpur Akra and Kalikapur.

Long distance trains, which arrived at Sealdah in the morning, were 2344 Darjeeling Mail, 3106 Dn Balia Express, 3154 Dn Gour Express, 3142 Dn Teesta Torsa Express, 3164 Hatey Bazare Express and 3146 Dn Radhikapur Express at Kolkata.

Obstructions also were reported on main line section at Uttarpara, Rishra and Shrirampur, on Tarakeswar section at Diara, on Howrah- Bardhaman Chord line section, at KamarKundu, Jaugram, Janai Road on Rampurhat section at Rampurhat, Sainthia and Nalhati, on Katwa section at Katwa, Tenya, Salar and Azimganj city and also at level crossing gate between Bandel and Bansberia stations.

Long distance trains, which arrived at Howrah in the morning, were 2514 Dn Guwahati-Trivandum Express, 1447 Up Skatipunj Express, 3077 Dn Jamalpur Express, 3022 Dn Mithila Express and 3024 Dn Gaya Express.

Four long distance trains had been cancelled so far - 2019 Up Howrah-Ranchi Shatabdi Express, 3317 Up Howrah Dhanbad Black Diamond Express, 3017 Up Howrah-Azimganj Ganadevata Express and 2023 Up Howrah-Patna Jan Shatabdi Express.
