Sankalpan bags USD 2 million project
Chennai, Mar 16 (UNI) Mumbai-based Sankalpan, an integrated realty and premium infrastructure services provider, has bagged a USD two million-worth interior fit-out turnkey project for Nasdaq-listed IT major Syntel in the city.
Announcing this at a press conference here, Sankalpan Group Chairman Ninad Randive said the company would design a 700 seat facility at a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Syntel that would have the latest imported furniture, fittings and finish.
Stating that there was great potential for infrastructure development in this metropolis, he said the company was looking for potential partners who would bring in financial strength to combine with Sankalpan's expertise in project management to develop SEZs in this belt.
With over 15 projects already executed, Chennai would be the hub for Sankalpan's southern business operations, he said and added that the company would concentrate on other cities such as Coimbatore, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad where IT parks and retail infrastructure requirements were fast escalating.
Mr Randive said the company was targeting revenue of around USD 12 to 15 million for the coming year from the southern metropolis against the current figure, which stood at USD five million.
He said Sankalpan would soon launch its facility management services as a new business venture for which talks were being held with a US firm for collaboration.
