Rs 29 lakh looted from LIC office

Shahdol, MP, Mar 16 (UNI) Three armed youth looted Rs 29 lakh from the Life Insurance Corporation of India's office at Budhar township, 20 km from this district headquarters, after tying up the manager and confining eight other employees early today, the police said.

The employees were counting the money and placing it in a bag at 0215 hrs when the trio entered through an open backdoor.

The police later untied Manager Hari Shankar Yadav and freed the others from a room. Senior police officers reached the spot.
