No evidence of organ trade in Nithari killings: Govt

The
government
today
said
no
evidence
has
been
found
so
far
to
connect
Nithari
incident
in
Noida
with
the
trade
of
human
organs.
Health
Minister
Anbumani
Ramadoss
informed
this
to
the
Rajya
Sabha
in
a
written
reply
today.
However,
he
admitted
that
the
Delhi
Police
has
registered
six
cases
of
illegal
trade
of
human
organs
during
the
past
four
years
of
which
five
cases
were
registered
in
2004
and
one
in
2006.
In
another
reply,
Dr
Ramadoss
said
that
enactment
of
a
legislation
for
registration
and
regulation
of
Clinical
Establishment
was
a
priority
of
the
government.
However,
since
health
is
a
state
subject,
maintenance
of
registry
of
hospitals
and
the
diagnostic
centres
was
the
responsibility
of
the
state
government,
he
informed.
