MRPL sells 50KT high-sulphur diesel early April

SINGAPORE, Mar 16 (Reuters) Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) has sold by tender 50,000 tonnes of high-sulphur diesel for April loading at prices similar to a past sale, an industry source said on Friday.

The cargo was awarded to Glencore at a premium of a barrel to Middle East Dubai crude on a free-on-board (FOB) basis for loading on April 8-10.

The diesel market has been buoyed by expectations the current surplus will dry up due to heavier refinery maintenance in the second quarter.
