Man sentenced to life for killing a minor

Balasore, Mar 16 (UNI) Balasore District Additional Sessions Judge P Das today sentenced Mayadhar Sur (49) to life imprisonment on charges of killing Sangram Behera(8) of Palasia under Basta police station on May 6, 2000.

According to the prosecution, the convict had inflicted multiple injuries on the victim by a sharp weapon while the boy was on his way to a Shiva temple.

The victim succumbed to the injuries on the way to hospital.
