Man gets lifer for killing spouse for her refusal to cook meat

Dumka, Mar 16 (UNI) A local court today sentenced life imprisonment to a man for killing his wife after she refused to cook chicken for him.

The incident took place on March 19 last year when Uttam Kumar ordered his spouse Jayanti to cook chicken that he wanted to take with liquor.

According to the prosecution in Jharkhand's Dumka district court, as Jayanti refused to oblige, he beat her to death using a stick and a knife.
