Life imprisonment to criminal Ashok Mahto

Nawada, Mar 16 (UNI) A fast-track court today handed down imprisonment for life and slapped a fine of Rs 20000 to a criminal Ashok Mahto for murdering a Nawada Sub-Jail guard.

After concluding the hearing in the case the judge delivered the verdict.

As per the case, Ashok Mahto, in connivance with other inmates of the jail, had killed Sashibushan Sharma and injured another Lalan Singh on December 23, 2001.

Later Ashok Mahto along with seven other prisoners had escaped from the jail.
