Harassment of villagers foment naxalism: Uma
Sagar, MP, Mar 16 (UNI) Pointing out that naxalism had increased in Chhattisgarh in the past few years, Bharatiya Jan Shakti president Uma Bharti today said growing unemployment and harassment of villagers was fomenting naxalism.
Ms Bharti told reporters here today that the government must make attempts to bring an end to unemployment and harassment of tribals.
She alleged that police and revenue department were the biggest exploiters in Chhattisgarh.
The fiery sanyasin claimed that naxalism was under control during her rule.
She alleged that both the BJP and the Congress were instigating riots but such incidents did not take place during her tenure.
The BJS leader said her party would fight assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh with full vigour. Her party would contest from 100 seats.
