Five, including police official, arrested

Hyderabad, Mar 16 (UNI) Police today arrested five persons, including a police inspector, in connection with the murder case of a naxal woman in the city.

According to police, Police Inspector Kishan Singh and four others were held in connection with the murder of Swroopa Rani, a former Maoist member.

The Inspector allegedly had an illicit relationship with her since she came to public life in 1997.

The accused had killed Swaroopa Rani and burnt the body on the city outskirts recently.

On the complaint filed by her parents in the High Court that their daughter was missing, the city police investigated the case, police added.
