New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) Amid reports of ultra activities along the border, Union Home Secretary V K Duggal today held hectic discussions with Bhutan Prime Minister Khandu Wangchuk and Home Minister Jigme Y Thinley, according to official sources here.

Mr Duggal, heading a four-member Delegation from his ministry, will also meet Bhutan King before he leaves the Himalayan Kingdom on Sunday.

He had a few rounds of discussions with his counterpart Penden Wangchuk yesterday.

Home Ministry sources here said the visit was part of the government's policy for forging stronger ties with neighbouring countries.

India said early this week that it had been keeping a close watch on activities of militant outfits along the Indo-Bhutan border. It, however, said in Parliament there was no specific information to confirm whether ULFA cadres were re-establishing bases in the Himalayan kingdom.

In a major crackdown on Indian insurgent groups operating from Bhutan in 2004, the kindgom's army had busted about 30 camps set up by them there.
