Dargah committee sends legal notice to Shah over Kaif's skirt

Ajmer, March 16 (UNI) Actor Katrina Kaif's skirt row in Bollywood film 'Namaste London' seems to be not ending with Ajmer Sharif's dargah committee sending it a legal notice today, asking producer-director Vipul Shah to delete the scenes shot there.

Besides being irked that that no permission was taken for shooting the film there, the dargah committee members were angry over heroine Katrina's knee-length frock while shooting the scenes there, which they say have hurt the religious sentiments of many.

Although director Vipul Shah had tendered a written apology to committee members after the director and actors Rishi Kapoor and Katrina were sent legal notices earlier, the dargah members now want that the ziyarat scenes be either deleted or reshot.

Dargah committee's Sadr Peerzada Sivli Qasim said Shah had promised that before the film's release, the members would be shown the ziyarat scenes.

Shah rejected the idea of screening those particular scenes for committee members and announced release of the film on March 23.

Mr Qasim said Katrina's bare-legged shots during ziyarat at the dargah were highly unsuitable for the sacred place and they would take the matter to the Censor Board and Information and Boardcasting Ministry. The scenes were shot in the dargah on October 2, 2008.
