CPI(ML) denounces Nandigram killings
New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) The CPI(ML) while condemning the 'Nandigram massacre' has sought the resignation of the Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee government saying the incident was a ''murder of democracy''.
Party General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya called upon all non CPI(M) constituents of the Left Front to jointly protest the 'Nandigram massacre' and scrap the SEZ policy.
Denouncing the incident in which the police unleashed terror on the peasants at the behest of the West Bengal government to crush their resistance against forced land acquisition and SEZ policy, Mr Bhattacharya said all democratic forces must rally against this undemocratic act.
Protest voices on the killings also came from the Anti-SEZ Front and Confederation of NGOs of Rural India who held demonstrations here.
