The Tribune launches Himachal edition
Shimla, Mar 15 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today launched the Himachal edition of The Tribune, one of oldest English dailies of northern region.
Though the newspaper would continue to be printed from its Chandigarh office, it would devote more space to the affairs from the state.
The newspaper was briefly printed from Shimla and Ambala after shifting its base from Lahore in Pakistan following partition of the country in 1948.
The Tribune is one of the largest circulated English dailies with over 30,000 copies being disributed in the state.
Trustees of the Board of Governors R S Talwar, R P Bhambah and SS Sodhi, Trust President R S Pathak and Editor-in-chief H K Dua were also present during the simple but an impressive ceremony.
