'Sangat Darshan' programme revived in Punjab
Chandigarh, Mar 15 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today announced the revival of the 'Sangat Darshan Programme' in the state.
The move is a part of the Government's proposed steps to get first hand information about the problems of the common man and redress them on the spot, a State Government spokespersons said.
The spokespersons said Mr Badal had planned to hold the Sangat Darshan in villages in order to ensure transparent and responsive administration, keeping in view his poll promise that civil servants were first of all public servants and should be civil to the society.
Mr Badal said the administration would approach people at their doorsteps for redressal of their grievances and they would not be made to come to the administration. The spokespersons said the Chief Minister would hold a two-day Sangat Darshan programme in the Lambi constituency from March 17 to 18. He will cover Midda, Mohlan, Karam Patti and Rani Wala villages on March 17 and Aspal, Sarawan Bodla, Kabbarwala, Kattianwali and Pakki Tibbi villages on March 18.
