Sandalwood smuggler shot at
Mysore, Mar 15 (UNI) The city police shot at an alleged sandalwood smuggler, who attempted to attack the police personnel, in the city today.
Police said based on a tip-off about cutting a sandalwood tree on the premises of the Postal Training Centre here, police attempted to catch a fleeing smuggler Ravi. He opened fire at the police in an attempt to escape and the police retaliated.
Ravi was admitted to the K R Hospital and operated upon for bullet injuries.
