New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today dismissed as 'baseless in content and malicious with intent' reports regarding allegations of financial irregularities concerning Mr Tarun Vijay, the editor of 'Panchajanya', the Hindi mouthpiece of the organisation.

In a statement, Mr Ram Madhav on behalf of the RSS, clarified that no decision to 'remove'Mr Vijay from the post of Editor had been taken or communicated as reported in a section of the media.

He said media organs like Organiser and Panchajanya were run by RSS Swyamsevaks.'' One should bear in mind that the functioning and management of these organs was wholly and directly under the control of their managements only. In case of Ms Bharat Prakashan, the publishing house of Panchajanya, the RSS does not interfere in the day to day functioning at all,'' Mr Madhav said.
