Mizoram congress urges CM to restore peace

Aizawl, Mar 15 (UNI) The Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) today urged Chief Minister Zoramthanga to amicably solve the disputebetween the two warring Hmar insurgent factions in the state.

Hmar People's Convention (Democratic) and Hmar National Army havebeen fighting for supremacy the in state since last year, which enjoys close fraternity with the present state government.

MPCC sources said the quarrel between the HPC(D) and HNA outfits could prove detrimental for peaceful stability of the state.

The MPCC members also expressed concern over the presence of Naga insurgents in the state stating that the recent incidents of inner squabble in NSCN(IM) along Mizoram-Tripura border could disturb peace in the state.
