Minister takes back her words
Bhopal, Mar 15 (UNI) The Maulana Azad Madhya Pradesh Woman and Child Development Minister Kusum Singh Mehdele took back her statements made against a legislator in the Assembly after Speaker Ishwardas Rohani's intervention.
Mr Rampyare Kulaste (BJP) raised the matter of irregularities during appointment Anganwadi workers during the Question Hour.
While replying to supplementary questions, Ms Mehdele said there was no need for an inquiry. She said the member had no knowledge of rules. He can read and understand it.
Taking into notice this statement, the Speaker said making such statements against an elected legislator was not appropriate.
Upon this, Ms Mehdele said she took back her statements. An inquiry will be ordered as per the wishes of the concerned member.
Replying to question by Ms Sudha Jain (BJP) regarding stealing of a pipe, worth Rs 28 lakh, meant for water distribution in Sagar district, Public Health Engineering Minister Jagdish Deora said a letter had been written directing the Sagar Municipal Corporation to hold an inquiry in this regard.
Strict action would be taken against this regard.
